""Mujer", Spanish for woman, was created in my pursuit to create a realistic drawing. With each etch of my pencil I was coming closer to creating a face, a faint smile, a straight stare. I wanted my audience to recognize the simplicity of a person staring back at them. I wanted them to realize that it was indeed a simple face, which could be anyone who was anywhere."
